There are no needles used. Henna tattoos do require some aftercare. Please scroll down for more information. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? A simple henna tattoo can take 10 minutes to apply the paste. It can up to ten minutes for the paste to dry to touch. if you choose to have the lemon sugar glaze applied, it may take another 10 minutes or so for the henna paste to dry again & be secure. A good dark henna tattoo will last one to two weeks for people who take good care of their design. Henna works by staining layers of the skin. The longer you leave the paste in place and the hotter the skin gets, the more the pores open to accept the dye & the deeper the finished color. This does require 48 hours advance notice. WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW? When you come for your tattoo, wear clothing that will not cover the henna paste after the design is applied. If you want a lower back or belly tattoo, wear hip hugger pants & a crop top. A good method to make your first henna tattoo is to use special henna tattoo stencil kit, If you have mehndi applied to the palms of your hands, or your lower back, it's best to bring a friend to drive you home so that you do not to smudge the paste on a steering wheel. Also, depending on where you put your henna... seat belts can smudge your design if it is not completely drive before you head home. If you have having henna on your feet, wear flip-flops, or some other shoe that does not cover the design area. Henna tattoo is an active process. The color of your design will deepen over the next 48 hours. The warmer you are able to keep the design area, the darker the finished color will be. If you choose to have a complex henna pattern on the back of your hand, the top of your foot, on your arms or legs; please exfoliate and moisturize for several days prior to your appointment.
